Being categorized as “501(c)(3)” means that a particular nonprofit organization has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, charitable organization. The term “Charitable” is broadly defined in the US laws as being established for purposes that are: religious, educational, charitable, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering of national or international amateur sports, or prevention of cruelty to animals and children.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit in the United States, and all gifts/donations to us are tax-deductible within the United States to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our Tax ID/ EIN number is 83-2193218 We are in the process of obtaining our 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service. IRS Pub 557 indicates that the effective date of our exemption will be retroactive to our date of incorporation which is 11/30/2018 Note: To claim the donation as a deduction on your U. S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record.

We only accept donations in US dollars. We cannot accept foreign cash or foreign checks. Since donations made using PayPal are automatically converted to US dollars, supporters outside the Unites States may want to donate using this method

DYF, unfortunately, cannot accept donations in kind currently due to a lot of logistics involving shipping and handling overseas.
Yes, it is safe to donate online, as we use a safe and secure donation portal. It is advised that the donors use their own PC, laptop, or mobile device for donation transactions for safety purposes.

One of the primary benefits for the donors and contributors is that they will receive tax-exemption under IRC Section 501(c)(3). For the nonprofit organization, it means that they will be able to accept contributions and donations that are tax-deductible to the donor.
